My Brothers Wedding

Hiya this is not a poem about my brothers wedding, but something i wrote to invite people for the wedding.

well this is how it goes:

Greetings to you, the one reading this mail.
Please read the whole message without fail.

My brother, I have only one.
Is getting married, it ought to be fun..

Its on the 12th day of June,
Please be there one hour before noon.

Your presence will mean so much to me,
It will make me as happy as I can be.

Coming up with this was a little hard,
but Mom and Dad didnt spare me a single card.

hey readers,

I know its been a while since i made my last post. But iv'e been down on inspiration. But here it is finally. My latest poem.

FEVER

All covered up and shivering in the cold,
You feel as though you are 80 years old.
Weak and tired you feel the fear,
You feel as though the end is near.

Feeling helpless you pray to god,
Everything around still feels odd.
You try hard to fall asleep,
Even that old trick of counting sheep.

Mercifully sleep comes in the end,
The nightmares you see hard to comprehend.
Waking up you feel your heart beat and every breath,
Filled with pride of having cheated death.

P.S.: Watch out for my next poem (Its on dysentry).

As I promised i will reveal the inspiration behind my first post. It all started from a quotation by the famous French philosopher Voltaire.

Lets go ahead with my next poem or should i call it something else?

BPO Life
Today I woke up early in the morning.
feeling as fresh as a new years hang over.
Even the toothpaste tasted sweet,
somewhat like powdered wheat.

I had a cup of tea, munched on some snack,
Started working out for that elusive six pack.
I went to bed trying to catch up on lost sleep.
With eyes wide open a promise i could not keep.

I got up started wathing TV,
My friends not with me, not interested may be.
They were busy, to office they had to go.
Thats when i nfelt proud to be working in a BPO
Hey reader(s),

I write these quite frequently. I have never had the courage to call it poetry.

A Prayer for Forgiveness

It has been a big disgrace,
Or was it all just a craze?
Was i just imitating?
When i should have been working.

I apologise for my ignorance.
I insulted your intelligence.
You gave me arms, You gave me brains,
I think of you only when it pains.

I had everything here with me,
Why I didn't see it is a mystery.
They say to forgive is divine.
I wish you would do that in this case of mine.

Next time i'll write the philosophy and inspiration behind this so called poem.
